The “Ride of Ribbons” was painted to support my fundraising efforts for the 2024 Ride2Conquer Cancer. I is inspired by those touched by cancer in all its forms and those committed to supporting the research to find a cure. Each cyclist in this piece is fashioned after a cancer ribbon, each colour representing a different form of cancer. The lead pink ribbon represents breast cancer. The 10 other ribbons also riding, are each focused on a form of cancer that impacts them but yet they are all riding together to support each another with the shared goal to conquer cancer. These ribbons are then supported by 20 others behind them and then the countless others willing to support one goal – to conquer cancer in our lifetime.
